Personal
Sketch
With
a graduate degree in nursing, I worked in health care for many
years and enjoyed a rewarding profession as a nurse practitioner.
Eventually
I felt compelled to pursue my interest in the visual arts.
I
began drawing images from my dreams and experimenting with various
media in an effort to express my creative voice and bring forth
that which moves me. This soon led to exhibiting and selling
my artwork.
Born
in Minnesota in 1956, I moved to a rural setting near Boston
in my teens and eventually settled in New Mexico in 1990, where
I live with my husband and two daughters.
I
have spent time on the coast of Maine nearly every summer since
I was a child. The wide open vistas of the Midwest, the dramatic
Southwestern land and sky and the ever-changing beauty of seascape
light continue to inspire my paintings. |
